GOLDEN MUSEUM, 5th grade

Hello, hello famílies!!! 

Avui us fem cinc cèntims del projecte Golden museum:

Des de l'àrea d'anglès, els nens i les nenes de 5è han après vocabulari relacionat amb la prehistòria, l'edat antiga i l'edat mitjana, tot això incidint amb l'estructura gramatical del past simple (regluar verbs) en totes les seves formes.

Des de l'àrea d'arts & crafts, han incidit en l'edat antiga, tot investigant sobre els principals artistes clàssics, els temples i l'arquitectura i l'ordre de les columnes gregues, la mitologia antiga (déus i deesses de l'Olimp). Cada grup de cooperatiu ha investigat un temple (el Partenó, el temple d'Atenea, el temple de Zeus...) recollint informació bàsica, a partir d'aquest temple, han creat un temple propi inspirat en l'edat antiga dedicat a un déu o deessa inventat. Aquests temples han sigut creats amb fang i han gaudit moltíssim explorant i descobrint aquest material. Finalment, faran una exposició oral presentant el temple investigat i explicant el temple creat i el procés creatiu d'aquest últim.

DROP BY DROP, 4th grade

 Hello, hello famílies!!! 

Avui us fem cinc cèntims del projecte drop by drop:

Des de l'àrea d'anglès, els nens i les nenes de 4t han après vocabulari relacionat amb el cos, la salut, els hàbits saludables i la piràmide dels aliments, tot això incidint amb l'estructura gramatical del have got en totes les seves formes.

Des de l'àrea d'arts & crafts, han reflexionat sobre el paral·lelisme cos-natura i explorat amb objectes naturals que s'assimilen a parts del cos i a l'inrevés, mitjançant l'observació directa. Han estudiat diferents artistes clàssics i contemporanis de diferents disciplines (pintura, escultura, arquitectura, ...) que s'inspiren en la natura i han experimentat amb pastels tot dibuixant un paisatge natural. Finalment, han estudiat més específicament a Van Gogh i les seves obres principals i han creat un mural col·laboratiu amb la tècnica de fer boletes, de l'obra dels Gira sols de Van Gogh.

CINEMA, 4th grade :)

 Els nens i nenes de 4t han acabat el projecte del Cinema!!!

Des de l'àrea d'English han après vocabulari relacionat amb el cinema com ara: screen, cast, clapperboard, fizzy drinks, set, script, fantasy, drama, thriller... i les funcions que es desenvolupen dins de la creació d'una pel·lícula: makeup artist, producer, editor, stunt performer, special and visual effects... També hem repassat l'estructura gramatical del present simple. A més a més han creat flipbooks que els han quedat molt xulos!

The boys and girls of 4th grade have finished the Cinema project!!!

From the English area, they have learned vocabulary related to the cinema such as: screen, cast, clapperboard, fizzy drinks, set, script, fantasy, drama, thriller... and the roles involved in the creation of a movie: makeup artist, producer, editor, stunt performer, special and visual effects... We have also reviewed the grammatical structure of the present simple. Moreover, they have done amazing flipbooks!

3rd Grade. Who are they? English and Arts & Crafts

Bona tarda famílies!

Durant aquestes darreres setmanes del curs, els nens i nenes de 3r han estat fent un projecte a Anglès i Arts & Crafts super xulo! Han fet un marc, decorat amb l’estil surrealista de Miró, on han posat una foto seva, i han fet la seva descripció personal, amb  lèxic i estructures treballades al llarg del curs. Els hi han quedat genials!

Last weeks of the course, boys and girls of 3rd grade have been doing an amazing project in English and Arts & Crafts sessions. They've made a frame, customized by surrealism style of Miró. They add a picture of theirself and  have done a personal description, using grammar structures and vocabulary that they learned during the course. The resoult is just astonishing!

4th World bee day in English class

Avui dia 20 de Maig és el dia mundial de les abelles, i a l'assignatura d'anglès els i les alumnes de 4t ahir divendres vem estar aprenent sobre aquests insectes tan essencials per al nostre planeta. Per conscienciar a tothom sobre això, vam dissenyar uns cartells amb un logo i un slogan. Mireu que macos ens han quedat!

Today, 20th of may, is The world bee day. Yesterday Friday in English class, boys and girls of 4th grade, have been learning about these so essential  insects fou our planet. to raise awareness about it,  we've designed some signs with a logo and slogan. Look how nice they are!

4t Arts & Crafts, Nana's

Els nens i nenes de 4t hem fet escultures amb fang a Arts and Craft! Per fer-ho ens hem inspirat en l'obra de Niki de Saint Phalle, una artista que realitza obres de grans dimensions sobre el cos de la dona. Que us sembla el resultat? Nosaltres hem gaudit molt fent-ho!

Boys and girls of 4th grade have done clay sculpture in Arts & Crafts! To do so, we've inspired by the work of Niki de Saint Phalle, a woman artist who makes big dimensions sculpures of woman body. What do you think, about the results?  We have been enjoying a lot doing it! 

6th year, Arts & Crafts. Romanesque and Gothic architecture and Stop motions

Com podeu veure, el grup de 6è A està treballant en maquetes romàniques i gòtiques, mentre 6è B està preparant els continguts per els seus stop motion. Aviat eureu els fantàstics resultats.

As you can see, 6th A is creating Romanesque and Gothic buildings, while 6th B is preparing fantastic backgrounds for their stop motions! Soon you will see the fantastic results. 

A 3r, Investiguem qui era Joan Miró i fem produccions surrealistes!

Els nens i nenes de 3r, durant el darrer mes d'abril, a Arts & Crafts, han estat investigant amb ordinadors i tauletes qui era el Joan Miró. Han conegut algunes de les seves obres, i inspirats amb el seu estil surrealista, en concret en la seva obra "El gall", han fet uns dracs de Sant Jordi amb rotllos de paper de vàter que no podeu deixar de veure!

Good afteroon families!

Boys and girls of 3rd year, in April, have been researching with computers and tablets about Joan Miró. They've known some of his works, and inspired by his surrealism style, specifically by the painting "El gallo", have done a Sant Jordi dragon, with toilet paper rolls . Do not miss it! 

Comunitat dels petits. Gaudim de màgia en Anglès a l'escola!

 Bona tarda famílies!

Aquesta setmana els nens i nenes de tots els grups de la Comunitat dels petits, han gaudit d'un espectacle de màgia en anglès, gràcies al programa GEP. S'ho van passar d'allò més bé, interactuant amb la llengua anglesa i rient molt. No us perdeu les fotos!

This week, kids of all the groups from the Young Community , had enjoyed of a magic show in English, thanks to the programme GEP. They had a lot of fun, interacting in English, and laughing a lot. Do not miss the pics! 

Comunitat d'Experts. Gaudim de màgia en Anglès a l'escola!

Com podreu veure a les fotos i als vídeos, els nens i nenes de 4t, 5è i 6è, aquesta setmana s'ho han passat d'allò més bé amb l'espectacle de màgia que ens han vingut a fer a l'escola una empresa externa, gràcies al programa GEP. Ens hem fet un fart de riure!

As you can see in the pictures and the videos, this week, boys and girls of 4th, 5th and 6th grade, had a lot of fun with the magic show, that was performed at the school by an external company, thanks to the GEP programme. We laughed a lot!

4t. Arts & Crafts, tasca Bookface

A Arts and Crafts, els i les alumnes de 4t s'han sumat a la tendència de "bookface" , la qual consisteix a compartir una fotografía on la cara de la persona és substituïda per la portada d'un llibre. És un mètode que va començar al 2014, a la Biblioteca Pública de Nova York, quan Morgan Holzer, el bibliotecari, cercava noves fórmules per fomentar la lectura. El resultat va ser tan sorprenent que llibreries de tot el món es van sumar a aquesta iniciativa.

Per grups, els nens i les nenes de 4t han visitat la biblioteca de l'escola. Fent ús de la seva imaginació i creativitat, han seleccionat un llibre amb el qual realitzar les seves creacions. Podreu gaudir del resultat a les següents fotografies: 

In Arts & Crafts, the 4th grade students have joined the trend of "Bookface", which consists of sharing a photograph in which the person's face is replaced by the cover of the book. It is a method that began in 2014, at the New York Public LIbrary, when Morgan Holzer, the librarian, sought new ways to encourage reading. The result was so surprising that libraries all over the world joined the initiative. 

In groups, the 4th year boys and girls, visited the school library. From their imagination and creativity, they selected a book to make their creations. You can see the result in the following photos. 

Comunitat dels mitjans. Taller de màgia en Anglès a l'escola.

Ahir els nens i nenes de 2n i de 3r, van gaudir d'un espectacle de màgia en Anglès. Va venir a l'escola una empresa externa, gràcies al projecte GEP. Els hi va encantar i ho vam passar d'allò més bé! No us perdeu les imatges. 

Yesterday, kids of 2nd and 3rd year, enjoyed a lot with a magic show. An external company came to the school, thanks to the GEP project. They loved it, and they had a great time. Do not miss the pics! 

4t. Activitats d'Anglès al segon trimestre

Els nenes i nenes de 4t, durant aquest trimestre han fet moltes activitats a les sessions d'Anglès, un exemple és la que van fer utilitzant objectes reals per repassar vocabulari i les estructures del menjar. Quins elements es poden comptar i quins no? Mireu que bé s'ho van passar!

The 4th grade students have been doing a lot of activities. An example is the really good time they've had using realia to review the vocabulary and the structures about food and cooking. Which items are countable and uncountable? Have a look at the great time they had!

6è. Segon trimestre a Arts & Crafts

Bona tarda famílies! 

Durant aquest segon trimestre els nens i nenes de 6è han après una nova tècnica, utilitzant bastonets de cotó. Han recreat l'obra "Water lilies" de Monet. Van gaudir moltíssim. No us perdeu els resultats!

Good afternoon families!

During the second trimester, in Arts & Crafts, 6th graders learned a new technique: using cotton swabs they created "Water lilies" painting by Monet. They love it! Have a look! 

1r. Segon trimestre a Arts & Crafts

Els nens i nenes de Primer, durant les sessions d'Arts & Crafts d'aquest trimestre, han fet un munt d'activitats, mentre aprenien nou lèxic en anglès. Entre altres, han conegut l'obra de Piet Mondrian. Aquí teniu una petita mostra. 

Pupils from 1st grade, during Arts & Crafts sessions of this second trimester, have been doing lots of activities, while they were also learning new English vocabulary. Among others, they've learned Piet Mondrian's work. Have a look!

Durant aquest segon trimestre, els nens i nenes d'Infantil han estat fent un munt d'activitats a les classes d'Anglès. S'ho han passat d'allò més bé, jugant i cantant, mentre aprenien la llengua anglesa. Entre altres, han treballat els estats d'ànim, les rutines i els dies de la setmana.  Aquí us deixem alguns exemples.

 

Dear families,  

During this second trimester, pupils from Infant have been doing lots of fun activities during the English sessions. They've been enjoying a lot, playing and singing while they were learning the language. A part from other topics, they've been learning about the mood states, routines and the days of the week. Have a look at some examples.  

4 year. Segon trimestre a Arts & Crafts. "Frida Kahlo" i " Toys recycled"

Hello families!

During the second term of the year we’ve learned lots of things in Arts and Crafts! 

First of all, we talked about the multidisciplinary artist Frida Kahlo: analyzed her paintings, her life and why she needed to express herself. Later on, we worked with paper to create her portrait with inspiration from the lots of autoportraits she did. Finally, with the technique of carving, we created a mural to finish with her most known quote: “Feet, what do I need you for when I have wings to fly?" along with a reflection about the process and the meaning of the quote.

As the term went by, we talked about the importance of recycling the materials, and we designed and created, along with the Project “Toys Recycle”, a recycled toy. The process was hard but finally could, in cooperative groups, create the funny and playful toys!

Durant el segon trimestre hem après un munt de coses a Arts and Crafts! 

Primer de tot, vam parlar de l’artista multidisciplinar Frida Kahlo: vam analitzar les seves obres, la seva vida i per què necessitava expressar-se. Després vam treballar amb filigranes de paper per crear un retrat seu inspirant-nos en els múltiples retrats que ella feia d’ella mateixa. Per acabar, i mitjançant la tècnica del gravat, vam crear un mural amb la seva famosa frase: “Peus, perquè us vull si tinc ales per volar?” acompanyant-ho tot d’una reflexió sobre el procés i el significat.

A mesura que avançava el trimestre, vam parlar de la importància del reciclatge de materials i vam dissenyar i crear, en conjunt amb el projecte “Toys Recycle”, una joguina reciclada. El procés va ser una mica complicat, però en grup cooperatiu, vam poder crear aquestes joguines tan divertides!

5 year. Classic Art in Arts & Crafts

The last weeks, 5 year students, have been learning about the classical architecture. To do so, they've been working in teams, investigating about a concreat temple at the time that they've designed and produced a great model. Do not miss, the amazing job they've done!

Durant les darreres setmanes, els nens i nenes de 5è, han estat aprenent sobre l'arquitectura clàssica. Per fer-ho, han treballat en equips, fent una investigació sobre un temple i dissenyant i produint unes maquetes espectaculars. No us perdeu les obres d'art que han fet!

3rd Grade Antoni Gaudí in Arts & Crafts

Kids of 3rd course, are learning who was Antoni Gaudí and it's works. They're discovering different buildings and technics, such as El Parc Güell and it's mosaics. Have a look at the great job they've done!

Els nens i nenes de 3r estan aprenent qui era Antoni Gaudí i alguns dels seus treballs. Estan coneixent  edificis i tècniques com el trencadís del Parc Güell. No us perdeu el magnífic treball que han fet!

3rd Grade, Arts & Crafts. El Guernica in plasticine.

During the first weeks of the year, in Arts & Crafts, boys and girls from 3rd course, after working and analyzing El Guernica, have let their imagination fly and had modelled in Plasticine the different characters and elements of the well known Picasso's work. They've worked in groups and the results are completely amazing!

Durant les primeres setmanes de l'any, a Arts & Crafts, els nens i nenes de 3r, després de treballar El Guernica, han deixat anar la seva imaginació i han fet escultures amb plastilina dels diferents personatges i elements de la coneguda obra del Picasso. Han treballat per equips i els resultats són impressionants!

3rd Grade learn "possessives" by playing

During the last weeks of January, the pupils of 3rd have been learning how to express, in English, that something belongs to you. They did it in an hilarious and effective way, playing with words papers, like doing puzzles. The one who wrote more correct sentences won. They've enjoyed a lot!

Durant les últimes setmanes de gener, els estudiants de 3r han estat aprenent com expressar en Anglès que alguna cosa ens pertany. Ho han après d'una forma molt divertida i efectiva, jugant amb unes fitxes de paraules i fent puzles amb les paraules. Qui construïa més frases correctes guanyava.

Hello families!

Last Friday, 4th, 5th and 6th grade students had the pleasure of watching Dracula's play in English at the school. They had a lot of fun, singing and dancing with the actors and identifying the vocabulary that we have been working on during the previous weeks. It was fantastic!

El passat divendres, els alumnes de 4rt, 5è i 6è, van tenir el plaer de veure la obra de Dràcula en anglès a l'escola. Van gaudir molt, ballant, cantant amb els actors i identificant el vocabulari que previament havien estat treballant. Vam passar una molt bona estona!

Dear families! 

Last Monday, the children of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year enjoyed a lot with the play Robin Hood, in English at the school. Boys and girls acquired new vocabulary in English, having fun through the interaction with the actors and the songs. Have a look at some of the best moments!

El passat dilluns, els nens i nenes de 1r, 2n i 3r, van gaudir d'allò més amb l'obra de teatre "Robin Hood" en anglès a l'escola. Van adquirir nou lèxic, interactuant amb els actors i cantant. No us perdeu alguns dels millors moments!
