Arts&Crafts Montserrat Year 5

In October, the 5 year students in Arts & Crafts, have been working in our beloved mountain of Montserrat. They've done it not only from an aesthetic point of view, but also from the activities that are done there. They've worked with the autumn colors and different patterns to decorate the mountain, at the time that were acquiring the related vocabulary in English.

Durant aquest mes d'octubre els alumnes de 5è a les sessions d'Arts & Crafts han treballat la nostre estimada muntanya de Montserrat ! Ho han fet tant desde el punt de vista estètic, les seves formes i colors, com de les activitats que es duen a terme en aquest indret. Aprofitant l'estació de l'any han treballat amb els tons de la tardor i diferents textures per decorar la muntanya, ampliant el seu lèxic en anglès d'aquests camps semàntics.

Arts&Crafts - Pablo Picasso in Year 3

In Arts and Crafts, year 3 students have been working on Pablo Picasso. An artist from our country who is known worldwide. They have focused on the Cubism artistic movement. In addition, they have taken the opportunity to learn vocabulary related to geometric shapes.

A l’àrea d’Arts and Crafts, l’alumnat de 3r ha estat treballant Pablo Picasso. Un artista del nostra país molt conegut mundialment. Els nens i nenes de 3r s’han centrat en el moviment artístic del cubisme. A més a més, han aprofitat per aprendre vocabulari relacionat amb les formes geomètriques.

Our Erasmus Logo

The first activity of the Erasmus+ project “Inclusion Under Tolerance" that we had to do was the design of the project's Logo. Each country designed a logo, and then we created a GoogleForms where students, families, and teachers from the four European schools had to vote for the logo they liked more.

Don't worry if some of you didn't vote. There are many activities to do, and each level will be responsible for doing one of these activities. The voting of the logo was carried out by year 5 students and their families.

Our school is very happy, because our logo was the most voted. This is the logo that will represent our Erasmus project during the academic years 22-23 and 23-24.

La primera activitat del projecte Erasmus+ “Inclusion Under Tolerance” que hem hagut de fer, ha estat el disseny del Logo del projecte. Cada país va dissenyar un logo, i després vam crear un GoogleForms on alumnes, famílies i Mestres de les quatre escoles Europees van haver de votar el logo que més els hi agradés.

No us preocupeu si alguns de vosaltres no heu votat. Hi ha moltes activitats per fer, i cada nivell s’encarregarà de fer una d’aquestes activitats. La votació del logo la van dur a terme l’alumnat de 5è i les seves famílies.

La nostra escola està molt contenta, perquè el nostre logo va ser el més votat. Voleu veure com és? A continuació teniu el logo que representarà el nostre projecte Erasmus durant els dos cursos escolars 22-23 i 23-24.

Fem difusió del nostre Erasmus a la ràdio

Last Friday, October 7th, three teachers from our school went to Sant Andreu de la Barca radio to share with our city the Erasmus+ Project that we have just started this school year 22-23.

The Erasmus+ project, called Inclusion Under Tolerance, is a project addressed to the schoolteachers. The aim is to promote the exchange of practices, strategies, and methodologies to attend to the diversity of our school. So, together with our colleagues in Greece, Portugal, and Turkey, our goal is to make our schools more inclusive and more tolerant.

El passat divendres 7 d’octubre, tres mestres de la nostra escola van anar a la ràdio de Sant Andreu de la Barca a fer difusió del Projecte Erasmus+ que tot just ha començat aquest curs escolar 22-23.

El projecte Erasmus+, anomenat Inclusion Under Tolerance, és un projecte adreçat als docents de l’escola. L’objectiu es promoure intercanvi de pràctiques, estratègies i metodologies per atendre a la diversitat de l’escola en tot el seu conjunt. Així doncs, juntament amb els nostres companys de Grècia, Portugal i Turquia, pretenem que les nostres escoles siguin més inclusives i més tolerants.

1a Jornada Erasmus+; un dia ple d'emocions...

This morning at 7 o'clock we started a great professional adventure in which we will be accompanied by Portuguese, Greeks, and Turkish teachers.

We took a BCN flight to Porto and from there another to Madeira.

The flight to Porto was calm and relaxed. Things didn't go so well on the second flight due to flight delays, problems in the Lisbon airspace and incidents with some overly demanding passengers, which delayed us another 40 minutes. We finally took off 1:40h minutes late.

We would like to highlight the great professionalism of Commander Javier, who has kept calm despite having to argue with the passenger and his expertise in landing in Madeira, a complicated airport.

The Portuguese colleagues gave us a great welcome, with banners and heliconias for everyone and a City Council vehicle took us to Funchal, where we have our accommodation. The Portuguese team made us feel very welcome after a long and difficult day, which ended with the bad news that the Greek colleagues suffered the cancellation of their Lisbon-Madeira flight. We can count ourselves lucky!

This afternoon-evening we will enjoy a lunch-snack-dinner and tomorrow we will start work.

Aquest mati a les 7 hem iniciat una gran aventura profesional en la qual ens acompanyaran portuguesos, grecs i turcs.

Hem agafat un vol de BCN a Oporto i d'allà un altre fins a Madeira.

El vol fins a Oporto ha estat tranquil i relaxat. La cosa no ha anat tan bé en el segon vol degut a retards en el vol per problemes a l'espai aeri de Lisboa i per incidents amb algun passatger massa exigent, que encara ens ha retardat 40 minuts més. Finalment ens hem enlairat amb 1:40h minuts de retard.

A destacar la gran professionalitat del Comandant Javier, que ha mantingut la calma tot i haver de discutir amb el passatger i la seva perícia en l'aterratge a Madeira, un aeroport complicat.

Els companys portuguesos ens han fet una gran rebuda, amb pancartes i helicònies per tots i un vehicle de l'Ajuntament ens ha portat fins a Funchal, on tenim l'allotjament. Ens hem sentit molt acollits per ells després d'un dia llarg i dificil, que ha finalitzat amb la mala notícia que els companys grecs han patit la cancel·lació del seu vol Lisboa-Madeira. Ens podem considerar afortunats!

Aquesta tarda-nit gaudirem d'un dinar-berenar-sopar i demà començarem la feina.
